Monash Public Library Services

What do you do?

Monash Public Library Services is a public library service serving the residents of Monash City in Victoria, with branches at Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley, Clayton, Oakleigh, Wheelers Hill and a neighbourhood library at Mulgrave.

Why did you become a Digital Springboard delivery partner?

We’re always looking at new ways to deliver new technologies and useful information to our patrons. We also have limited resources and having the courses already written by a reputable organisation means we’re able to deliver courses more efficiently.

What are your community’s needs, and how is Digital Springboard helping?

Our community has diverse needs ranging in age, cultural background, education and employment. Access to a range of courses means we’re able to deliver more information to our patrons which will help them in their daily lives.

What courses are you delivering?

We’ve been delivering Build a CV and Write a cover letter courses to patrons at two of our branches. We weren’t currently delivering these courses and we thought they would be very popular with our patrons. We will be delivering at our other branches in 2019.

They’ve been very popular and the courses have been full. I’ve had very good feedback, with patrons saying they’ve really helped them to develop their CV and cover letters.
